Welcome to the Commuter Courier Service. We connect you, the commuter and your vehicle to people or businesses that need material delivered during commute hours in an effort to reduce transportation costs by reducing fuel consumption. Our goal is to minimize wasted trips and actually make every trip a profitable one.
Our Business Model:A business or customer logs into the CCS website and searches for a courier that match certain criteria. The criteria is based on addresses, both home and work, commute or available hours, vehicle size and any other limitations. A list of couriers populate a drop down list ranked in order from most likely to least likely to be a match. A courier is chosen and the courier is emailed the details of the delivery. If he/she accepts the offer, the deal is made. If he/she rejects the offer or doesn't reply within a set time period, the next in line will be notified. Since, there is money involved, it is in best interest of the courier to check his/her email often. Definitions:Open - Courier will deliver anywhere at any time. Restricted - Courier is not a normal commuter but does have other limitations. Commuter - Courier picks up and drops off during his normal commute. Range is usually within 1 mile os start and end addresses. Drop off - Courier picks up material and drops off material during his commute. Doesn't deviate from normal route. Ranking - Similar to an ebay ranking. The courier and the business are ranked based on the satisfaction of each party based on delivery promptness, accuracy, price, etc. Offer - The proposition from the client to the courier.
